Based in Asia. Filming the World.
A 90 minute drama, shot on Digital Betacam format, for transfer to 35mm and eventual theatrical release.
The film tells the story of a young girl from mainland China who comes to Singapore in search of love, wealth and the dream to escape her otherwise depressing destiny in Shanghai.
Although it was the first production made by producer Bai Xue, experienced director Jimmy Chuang travelled from Beijing to direct the project for her.
The production was an extremely unusual one for the island state of Singapore and during shooting it received extensive media coverage because of its apparent "risque" content.
