In 2006 Siba Ships Asia began building two livestock carrying vessels at an Indonesian shipyard in Batam Island and we required regular construction progress photography over an extended period of two years.
L'Image Cinematography, an international photography company based in Singapore, was recommended to us by industry associates and their director of photography, Mr. Laurie K. Gilbert began the process of regular construction photography in Nov 2006.
Over the next two years Mr. Gilbert travelled to Indonesia every six weeks or so and on each occasion he provided a portfolio of more than 200 digital images that documented the evolution of the project from initial construction to the final ship launch.
