News: Laurie K. Gilbert and a global team of producers, directors and cameramen have just finished shooting a one hour documentary of the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge for ESPN Asia.

• The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has presented Golden Rings awards recognising outstanding broadcasting achivevements at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Sailing was awarded the Gold Medal for Best Coverage by the Host Broadcaster. Laurie K.
