Based in Asia. Filming the World.
One of two x one hour documentaries shot on unusual Asia-based sports which have received little exposure on American television.
The project was conceived by Will Schwarz of Pennant Productions of Baltimore as a pilot series to launch a new dedicated HD Sports Television Network in the USA
This particular programme is a documentary on the cultural heritage and history of the sport of Kabaddi which has been the traditional sport of rural India for more than 4,000 years.
The sport is a combination of rugby and wrestling skills and is played by both men and women on soft dirt in villages and in gymnasiums at competition level.
It is believed by historians that the tactics and skills needed to play the game well, are the foundation of modern guerilla warfare.
