IOC Golden Ring
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has presented Golden Rings awards recognising outstanding broadcasting achivevements at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Sailing was awarded the Gold Medal for Best Coverage by the Host Broadcaster. Laurie K. Gilbert contributed to the aerial coverage of the yacht races, as a specialist helicopter cameraman.
