Based in Asia. Filming the World.
The Sydney water and the NSW State Government have initiated a desalination project offshore from Kurnell, north of Sydney International Airport.
A precision, jack-up drilling rig operated by Workships Netherlands BV has been chartered to operate offshore for two years in Botany Bay. The rig, which was previously known as Banjuku, has been rebuilt and fully serviced in Singapore and has been renamed Seafox 6.
On Dec 24th 2008, the rig was towed out of Singapore harbour by the tug boat MV Sandy Pearl and the load began its slow journey through South East Asia to Newcastle, NSW at an average speed of approx. 5 knots.
In early Feb 2009 Seafox 6 arrived offshore from the Australian city of Newcastle and as it was towed into the port, L'Image Cinematography made three helicopter aerial photo flights in dark stormy conditions.
After modifications were made to the rig in Newcastle, it was then towed to the final location of Cape Solander where it began drilling eight inlet and outlet shafts on behalf of the NSW Government. A second aerial photo shoot was then made with a Blue Sky helicopter of the oil rig operating professionally.
