In 1996 Dennis Connor and his team from the New York Yacht Club travelled to Fremantle in Perth with only one ambition - to recover both the America’s Cup and American pride back from Australia, the current home of the trophy and the country of origin of the legendary winged keel.
The film of Americas ultimate success in its ambitions, was shot by DOP Ian Pugsley ACS with aerial and marine cinematography provided by America’s Cup cameraman, Laurie K. Gilbert.
The presenter and voice over talent was Charlton Heston.
