BP - Nam Con Son Onshore

The Nam Con Son basin is the largest offshore gas field in Vietnam and it is currently being exploited by BP Exploration Vietnam.

They have located the Lan Tay drilling platform in this basin and the gas that will be recovered from a depth of almost 1600 meter deep must be piped 371 kms to the Vung Tau land fall by an undersea pipeline and from there to the Dinh Co Gas Processing terminal situated in the Meekong Delta.

Once the gas is processed it is either piped another 28 kms to the Phu My power plants or exported as condensate from the Thi Vai Export Terminal

This complex video project for Crea Tv Saigon, provided extensive helicopter aerial coverage of the Nam Con Son gas pipeline from the Vung Tau landfall and then through the Vietnamese countryside to the Dinh Co Gas processing plant and the Thi Vai Export Terminal.

The Aerospecial Super Puma helicopter camera ship was operated by the Vietnam Air Force on charter to BP.
