Based in Asia. Filming the World.
A comprehensive photospread and front cover exposure of a Heesen 40m motor yacht called A Khaliq by IMS Yacht Magazine Publications for their flagship publication Yachts Asia Pacific.
The yacht was commissioned by a prominent Malaysian businessman and was built by the Heesen Company in their shipyards in Holland, before being delivered to its home at Port Dickson in Malaysia by skipper Etienne Gaudriault
Once the interior of the yacht had been outfitted to the owners satisfaction, photographer Laurie K. Gilbert was commissioned to provide comprehensive interior and exterior photographic coverage for both the magazine and the boat builders.
The photographer spent three days in Port Dickson actually living onboard and documenting the interior and the facilities before a Robinson R44 helicopter arrived from KL, flown by Kapt. Nasir Ma Lee of Asia Tangarra helicopters
The helicopter aerial sequences were then executed in an hour shooting period, in clear water some 10 miles offshore from Port Dickson Marina.
In 2008, the yacht was sold to a new owner in the Mediterranean and now operates as a charter vessel under the new name Mac Brew
